It's good to be cold!

The old me used to be permanently hot, I mean roasting hot, bright red boiling hot. Always a red face!

I wore T-shirts all year round, and strangers used to speak to me to ask if I was cold as I walked around in a T shirt in the snow. I didn't wear a coat at all.

At work, I had the central heating switched off in my room and ran the air conditioning on cold 24/7.

I was always, always hot

A lot has changed. I wear a variety of coats, I have the heating on and air conditioning off.

I'm regularly cold,

I feel the cold.

I was wrapped in many many layers of fat. I had a lot of insulation that kept me very warm. Also,  I had to work hard to carry myself around and that worked up a sweat.

It shows so clearly the health benefits of what I have done for myself this last year. My heart was working hard to carry all that weight, my lungs were in overdrive to breathe. I suffered sore knees, sore ankles and other embarassing medical issues. I didn't see other damage, I feel sure my pancreas was working me down the road that led to diabetes.

I am giving my body a much better time and not putting it through what must have been a challenging daily struggle. Feeling cold tells me I'm not just looking better, I am better.

I like feeling cold, it shows I'm in a better place

I'm constantly cold these days and it has the opposite effect for me. I feel weak because I cant endure the cold temps I once used to. Granted I know all that fat I've lost is better for my body but since I'm not used to it, I dont like it lol

Funny I am usually hot...I would LIKE to attribute it to a joyous increase in metabolism, but for me I think it is probably hormonal. This conclusion is backed up by some other, less pleasant changes. Or so my husband tells me... ;-)

Cold is good!
There's a spot on my abdomen that is always cold.
Even in the shower!

I'm looking forward so much to not always being hot, because it's so exhausting sometimes! :D

I always used to joke about how my blubber kept me warm. It's no lie. Since I've lost some weight, I notice that I'm chillier more. It's kind of annoying, but...I really do like it.

Good work, Dawn! You've worked so hard for all these little perks that no one ever really thinks about until the weight comes off. :) I love it!

Oh I still have that problem, but I'm not as hot now that I've lost some. I wish I had snow to walk around in!

So umm...congrats on feeling the cold? :)
